
Creative Marketing Specialist

Salary: $76,000 to $80,000.
This is a full-time, salaried, on-site position. This role is in-office only with no exceptions and requires periodic travel to support events, trade shows, hospitality functions, project photography, and other marketing needs. All approved work‑related travel is covered by the company.
Position Summary
The Event Marketing Specialist is the day‑to‑day point person for events and leads execution across event workflow management, communications, content capture, and related marketing deliverables under the direction of the Marketing Manager.
This role is ideal for someone with minimum 5 years of proven experience in a similar role who can show real success managing events, coordinating cross‑functional communication, capturing and editing professional content, and executing marketing deliverables at a high level. We are looking for someone who can point to prior results, strong work samples, and demonstrated ownership in past positions.
This position requires strong event leadership, a professional workflow, and high‑level execution in photography, videography, content publishing, Adobe Creative Suite, and marketing operations. The right candidate must be comfortable leading communication across stakeholders, managing details in Monday.com, working with sales and clients, and keeping projects moving with clarity and follow‑through.
This role also supports broader marketing needs including internal communications, social media, landing pages, HubSpot email execution, presentations, collateral, and proposal‑related work. This position, along with the Marketing Design Specialist, also supports the Proposal Specialist as needed.
What You’ll Do
Lead Event Execution and Communication
Serve as the primary day‑to‑day point person for 100+ events annually
Own event workflows in Monday.com, including timelines, logistics, expenses, deliverables, and executive event summaries
Lead bi‑weekly event planning meetings and weekly event participant meetings
Keep communication clear and consistent across stakeholders, participants, leadership, vendors, and clients
Work closely with the Administration team on travel, accommodations, hospitality, and vendor coordination
Manage memberships, event collateral inventory, reordering, and stock distribution across regional offices
Own Event Content and Field Marketing
Attend events and play a lead role in setup, teardown, and on‑site execution, including hospitality events
Capture before, during, and after photos and videos of events and projects
Travel as needed for field content capture and project‑related marketing needs
Use a Sony camera and Adobe Creative Suite as part of a professional content workflow
Edit and publish content for both internal and external marketing use
Be open to drone use in the role; prior experience is a plus, and training will be provided as needed
Lead day‑to‑day communication with clients and coordinate deliverables across stakeholders
Create landing pages in WordPress as needed
Intake and execute presentation and marketing collateral requests from the sales team
Build and send HubSpot email campaigns
Support internal marketing communications and social media execution
Write and edit strong copy for presentations, emails, social, landing pages, and collateral
Use Google Suite, HubSpot, and internal resources efficiently to gather job information and complete deliverables
Collaborate Across the Department
Work closely with the Marketing Manager, Marketing Design Specialist, and Marketing Administrator to keep priorities moving
Partner with the Marketing Administrator, who supports this role closely in day‑to‑day event coordination
Support the Proposal Specialist, alongside the Marketing Design Specialist, as needed on proposal‑related marketing and creative deliverables
Learn KYA’s service offerings, job history, markets served, and 7+ brands under the Kommunity
Use AI tools such as Gemini, NotebookLM, Claude, or similar to help scale and optimize work
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Advertising, Public Relations, Business, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in AEC or related field with hands‑on marketing role
Demonstrated success owning events, communications, content capture, and marketing execution in a prior role
Ability to show proof of strong past work , including portfolio examples, work samples, campaign materials, event experience, or measurable accomplishments
Strong experience managing high‑volume event workflows, recurring planning meetings, stakeholder communication, and event follow‑through
High‑level proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere Pro
Professional experience capturing, editing, and publishing photo/video content using a Sony camera or similar professional equipment
Experience with Monday.com or a similar project management platform
Experience using HubSpot , Google Suite , and WordPress
Strong copywriting, communication, and organizational skills
Experience creating presentations, sell sheets, case studies, collateral, and related marketing materials
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative, feedback‑driven environment
Willingness to travel as needed, support hands‑on event setup and teardown, and lift or carry materials up to 50 lbs.
A portfolio or work samples is a plus, but not required.
