The Role
Want to be the voice behind the world’s largest retail brand? Here’s your chance to take the mic. We’re on a mission to change the B2B conversation—moving beyond corporate jargon to make a real difference in the lives of business partners and stakeholders. At this scale, what we say matters—big time.
As a Senior B2B Copywriter & Executive Speechwriter, you won’t just write ads; you’ll craft the narratives that define our professional identity. You’ll infuse our B2B storytelling with heart and humanity, whether you're drafting a keynote for a global summit or a high-conversion LinkedIn campaign. You’ll dive deep, from breathing the brief to working with executive leadership to send a message out into the world that resonates and inspires. Ready to say something? We’re listening.
Key Responsibilities
- B2B Content Creation: Compose compelling copy that speaks to business leaders and partners across LinkedIn, B2B site assets, industry-focused emails, whitepapers, and digital trade ads.
- Executive Speechwriting: Partner with senior leadership to draft scripts, keynotes, and talking points for internal town halls and external industry events, ensuring a consistent, authoritative, yet human brand voice.
- Brand Stewardship: Gain a deep understanding of B2B core principles, voice, tone, and style guides to support overarching business goals and professional reputation.
- Strategic Translation: Turn complex business priorities, technical specs, and industry data into clear, customer-centric narratives that drive partnership and trust.
- Campaign Execution: Own copy for large-scale, high-priority B2B campaigns. Partner with design to compose high volumes of assets while integrating stakeholder feedback.
- Executive Collaboration: Work directly with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders to find creative solutions; attend kick-offs to proactively seek clarity on complex business initiatives.
- Project Management: Independently manage multiple projects—from rapid-response scripts to long-term content strategies—on varying timelines.
- Feedback & Growth: Approach edits from marketers and executives with a positive, collaborative attitude. Confidently explain creative choices to reach consensus among diverse stakeholders.
- Industry Expertise: Stay updated on B2B competitors, emerging industry trends, and tech developments; act as a subject matter expert for the creative team.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience: BA in Journalism, Creative Writing, Advertising, or related field + 3+ years of B2B-specific copywriting experience OR 5+ years of total professional copywriting experience.
- Speechwriting Portfolio: Proven experience drafting speeches or scripts for senior-level executives or public speakers.
- Agency & Industry: Previous experience working for or with creative agencies in an e-tail or professional services environment is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional ability to work autonomously and self-manage in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaborative spirit and a "roll up your sleeves" work ethic.
- High emotional intelligence and the ability to capture distinct personal voices in writing.
