Overview

Our client is seeking a customer-focused Key Account Manager to support and grow key foodservice and distribution relationships across the United States. This is an opportunity to join a growing food manufacturing organization delivering innovative, high-quality products to national and regional operators.


This role offers a strong mix of account management, inside sales support, and growth initiatives within existing accounts. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working cross-functionally to drive product adoption and revenue growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary point of contact for assigned foodservice operators and distributor accounts
  • Manage product sample requests and follow up to drive sample-to-order conversion
  • Support outbound campaigns to grow existing customer relationships
  • Provide product knowledge, pricing, and availability to customers and distributors
  • Partner with field sales teams to identify new product placement opportunities
  • Assist in developing menu applications and value-added customer solutions
  • Prepare customer presentations, sales decks, and performance reporting
  • Analyze product portfolio to identify growth and profitability opportunities
  • Collaborate with distributors to support customer engagement and order fulfillment
  • Participate in trade shows, distributor events, and customer meetings
  • Maintain accurate customer activity and pipeline tracking within CRM
  • Share customer insights with marketing, culinary, and product teams
  • Support field sales teams with materials and insights for customer visits
  • Travel occasionally for customer meetings and industry events


Ideal Background

  • 3–5 years of account management, inside sales, or customer success experience
  • Foodservice, food manufacturing, or CPG industry experience preferred
  • Understanding of foodservice distribution and operator relationships
  • Experience supporting growth within existing accounts
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer-first mindset with strong relationship-building skills


Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with national foodservice distributors
  • Background supporting menu development or product placement initiatives
  • Experience supporting outbound campaigns or inside sales growth initiatives
  • Familiarity with foodservice sales cycles and distributor-driven environments
  • Experience working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings and industry events
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
