Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Graphic Designer role located in Springfield, MA. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for developing engaging visual content, including branding materials, logos, and layouts, to align with BusinessWest's branding and editorial goals. Daily tasks include designing graphics for print and digital media, ensuring consistency in typography and branding, and collaborating with the editorial and marketing teams to visually enhance storytelling and promotional initiatives. The Graphic Designer must be able to take direction from written or spoken ideas and develop them into images, layouts and other designs and should understand marketing campaigns and be able to work with clients and staff on projects in a fast-paced, small-business environment. The Graphic Designer must have good organizational skills and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and InDesign) as well as experience with WordPress templates.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Graphics, Graphic Design, and creating visually compelling content
• Experience in Logo Design and Branding to convey unique brand identities
• Strong knowledge of Typography and layout principles
• Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with both print and digital media
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Detail-oriented with strong project management and time-management abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field is preferred
• Prior experience working in publishing or media is a plus
