Field Sales Engineer - DACH

We are hiring a new Sales Engineer to join the DACH Region Team (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), as part of the EMEA Sales Engineering Team.

The Sales Engineering team is our technical team working tightly with Sales representatives on winning opportunities. The team assists with Product introduction and demoing, Proof of Concepts, troubleshooting, Partner Enablement (Technical Training) and other tasks needed to show our Products and Solutions' value to Partners and Customers and drive the opportunities forward. The presentations and discussions will be done face to face and remotely. You will be playing an essential role by working together with the sales team to connect our customers and partners with the marketing team and the development and testing groups as needed.

As a Sales Engineer and a member of the BSG Customer Operations Department, you will be responsible for delivering a high‑quality experience to Bitdefender prospects, partners and customers.

You will need to understand the customer needs and pain points to address them by positioning the Bitdefender Products and Solutions. You will lead the Bitdefender Partners Training sessions in the assigned countries as part of the Bitdefender Partner Technical Enablement Program.

Location Germany - remote and onsite working (Schwerte office)

Responsibilities

Deliver product demos, product proof of concepts and technical support during the sales process;

Together with the sales team, build up the funnel, qualify the opportunities and contribute to closing the sales and achieve the sales quota for the territory/region;

Be customer‑centric by providing market‑leading solutions and support to solve customer problems;

Attend major industry‑related trade shows;

Work very closely with the regional business manager and sales teams;

Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management;

Respond effectively to RFPs;

Build and maintain relationships with Bitdefender customers;

Build and maintain strong relationships with Bitdefender partners;

Engage in and create internal projects that benefit customers;

Communicate and deliver product messaging at all levels, from an SE‑level deep dive to a C‑level elevator pitch;

Educate, motivate the technical channel community (the partners), following the path of certifications and periodic meetings, acting as a Focal Point and a Teacher for the Bitdefender partners Technical Enablement processes

Requirements

Experience in architecting, designing, or managing security solutions with practical expertise in Endpoint Protection, Endpoint Detection and Response, Threat Intelligence and Security Management;

Be passionate about Computer Networking, Cloud Computing/Virtualization Technologies;

Strong knowledge of virtual infrastructures (VMware, Citrix, Microsoft, Nutanix);

At least 2–3 years of experience in information security pre‑sales / sales engineering;

Ability to understand and adapt product specifications;

Background in performing installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Windows and Linux environments;

Result‑oriented and good diagnostic skills;

Strong verbal and written communication skills in German and English (other languages will be a plus), quick learner, dynamic, energetic and customer‑oriented;

Ability to work as part of a team to creatively solve problems;

Efficient time management and team player;

Willingness to travel within the assigned geographic territory

Is considered a plus

Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CCSK, VCP, VCAP‑DCA, CCA, or other security industry‑related qualifications are considered advantageous;

SANS‑GIAC Certifications (such as GCFA, GPEN, GWAPT, …) will be considered a desirable plus and will prioritise your application.
