The Senior Visual Experience Designer at Autodesk is an experience design specialist who crafts beautiful, delightful user interfaces, sets the standard for visual excellence, and solves complex challenges for our users. Our designers are team players who are creative in thinking beyond the expected and launch high-quality experiences our customers will love.
You will report to the Senior Manager of Experience Design for the Product Design and Manufacturing Solutions (PDMS) Platform Experience Design team, working on strategic projects with broad impact, creating consistent, scalable, and delightful user experiences that can be responsive to form factors across platforms for PDMS products.
Preference for those located in Vancouver, Canada for hybrid/remote.

Responsibilities
Lead visual experience design initiatives and help set strategy by evaluating and identifying the intersection of business needs, customer needs, and technical opportunities
Partner closely with the broader experience design team, design program management, and the platform engineering team in exploring, planning, verifying, and building solutions that scale
Create Autodesk Design System‑aligned, high‑quality visual design deliverables including hi‑fidelity UI mockups, icons, illustrations, prototypes and visual assets for production, validation and testing
Advocate the Autodesk Design System, relentlessly apply the design standards to the product UI whenever possible, devote on keeping cohesive experience within/across products, with the mindset of scaling product‑specific patterns to be able to contribute to the Autodesk Design System
Contribute to efforts of strengthening our platform‑thinking and improving design processes that help drive the experience cohesion.
Engage as an active member of an exciting, diverse and global design community
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of related professional user experience design experience
Experience with design system and reusable UI components
Knowledge of the primary components of visual design in UI, including icons, imageries, typography, color theory, hierarchy, spacing, and layout
Experience with visualizing and prototyping solutions at multiple levels of fidelity, from conceptual presentations, prototypes, and rough sketches to detailed wireframes, high‑level mock‑ups, and production‑ready assets with documentation
Experience presenting work to a diverse audience, providing clear rationale and outcomes of design decisions
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in interaction design (wireframing, flow diagramming, rapid prototyping, understanding of usability testing, etc.)
Experience working with animation or motion design
Knowledge of Autodesk products or experience working in related industries where customers use our products
A strong interest in or curiosity about AI‑driven interfaces and emerging technologies, and a comfort with ambiguity and experimentation
