Customer Relations Specialist
Plastic Molding Technology (PMT) manufactures high precision plastic parts for automotive, telecommunications, medical device, renewable energy, and industrial customers. The primary manufacturing processes are injection molding and thermoforming. PMT has ~100 injection molding presses at its two primary manufacturing locations in El Paso, TX and Centennial, CO (a suburb of Denver). A third facility in Longmont, CO (a suburb of Denver) provides in-house repair and fabrication of tools & dies. The Customer Relations Specialist is the primary point of contact for assigned customers and collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and other departments to support PMT's customer base. This role focuses on service strategy, customer retention, and loyalty building, while ensuring alignment between customer expectations and operational execution. This position plays a critical role in bridging the gap between customers and internal teams, ensuring requirements are not only met but consistently exceeded through proactive communication, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. What you'll do: Maintain a strong customer focus with a results-driven mindset Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment while ensuring clear communication and cross-functional collaboration Represent PMT professionally and maintain a positive company image at all times Influence outcomes through collaboration, problem-solving, and relationship management Review customer specifications and documentation to ensure alignment with PMT technical and commercial requirements Develop a strong understanding of plastic applications, parts, programs, and processes to drive effective customer solutions Maintain accurate and organized records including training, purchase orders, and system data Partner with Operations leadership to support and execute continuous improvement initiatives Support quarterly customer surveys, sales forecasts, and monthly outlook processes Ensure alignment between customer requirements and production capabilities Perform other duties as assigned What we're looking for: High School Diploma or GED required 35 years of experience in customer relations within a manufacturing environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong attention to detail with a strategic mindset Dependable, self-motivated, and results-driven Strong team player with a collaborative and professional approach Excellent communication and organizational skills
