Our company is seeking a customer-focused Account Manager to support our contract manufacturing customers. This role reports to the Sales Operations Manager and serves as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring clear communication, exceptional service, and smooth execution of all customer projects. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands manufacturing workflows, and can manage the distinct needs of multiple customers with finesse and professionalism.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Sales team by serving as the primary contact for assigned customer accounts and maintain strong, long-term relationships through superior customer service skills.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, requirements, and account activity in CRM/ERP and other standardized business systems.
- Manage day-to-day communication with customers regarding projects, timelines and various needs of the contract manufacturing brand.
- Support the onboarding of new customer programs and assist with product launches or project transitions.
- Own the customer lifecycle from research and development through final shipment of finished goods
- Coordinate internally with supply chain, production, quality, and finance to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Lead the customer-facing side of issue resolution to resolve customer issues quickly while protecting service quality and account health.
- Identify trends in customer challenges and recommend systemic improvements.
- Identify opportunities to strengthen relationships and support growth within existing accounts.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of customer-facing account management or customer service experience, ideally in contract manufacturing, CPG, nutraceuticals, food, or regulated product environments.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to professionally manage high-pressure customer interactions.
- Ability to coordinate and effectively communicate across multiple internal departments.
- Strong organizational discipline, ability to prioritize across multiple customers and projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
