
Apparel Product Developer

Job Vision
Joining Cutter & Buck’s product team in a support role, the Apparel Product Developer is a key contributor responsible for supporting the end-to-end product creation process. This role partners closely with product design and development leadership to execute the successful launch of new and expanded market‑winning product series.
This is a 6‑month temporary, hourly paid, W2 employee position with benefits eligibility, paid leave and holiday pay.
Process Ownership and Accountability You will support the continuous improvement of product development processes that enable the successful execution of our market‑winning product series strategy. This includes contributing to color and materials development and overseeing sample, submission tracking and testing to ensure timely, high‑quality product launches. You will establish and maintain strong, collaborative cross‑functional relationships with Design, Technical Design, and Merchandising.
New Product Design
Product Lifecycle Management System
Leverage the Centric PLM system and project management tools to streamline design and product development processes, ensuring timely delivery of high‑quality products across Cutter & Buck teams.
Support maintenance of the development calendar and tools to ensure on‑time new series introductions.
Support New Product Design Process
Track and review color submits and approvals in partnership with product design leadership.
Track and manage materials/trim development in partnership with product design leadership.
Support Designers, Technical Designers, and Product Merchandiser in the alignment of timelines and deliverables to ensure product design process completion.
Manage SGS Testing.
Product Completion
Achieve completed design of new market‑winning products on the timelines determined by product leadership.
Partner with the New Wave Group sourcing to ensure on‑time, quality product development.
Support Product Development Manager with ongoing special projects.
Job Requirements
Degree or 3‑5+ years equivalent experience in product development.
Demonstrated expertise in evaluating and approving lab dips under standardized lighting environments (D65, TL84, etc.), leveraging CIE LAB measurements to ensure color accuracy and consistency.
Proven experience partnering with overseas vendors to develop apparel materials and trims from concept, testing through bulk production.
Proven experience supporting projects to successful completion.
PLM system experience required, Centric experience preferred.
Ability to communicate clearly in writing, in‑person, on video.
Employment Details Ability to work a hybrid schedule from our Renton headquarters, with in‑office days on Mondays and Wednesdays, and additional on‑site work as needed.
