
Manager II Income Tax Compliance (Hybrid: Onsite and Remote Work)

Job Overview
This position is hybrid with a combination of three onsite days per week and the rest remote.
Responsibilities
Lead/manage the preparation and review of federal and state income and franchise tax returns, estimated payments, and extensions; 47 states; 195 returns per year at the state and local level; 1 federal consolidated return (this responsibility is 85% of the position and requires the most technical skill related to taxation)
Assist with the identification, implementation, and reporting of federal and state tax planning initiatives
Assist with the preparation and review of inputs into the interim and year-end tax accounting processAssist with the gathering of information in response to document requests from taxing authorities
Other duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications Education & Training
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related analytical field required (or related experience). MA/MBA preferred
Job relevant certifications preferred (e.g. CPA)
Related Experience & Requirements
6 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting; including experience in a public company or public accounting firm
Federal and state income tax compliance experience
At least 1 year of people leadership (supervisor/manager) experience preferred
Advanced skills using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
Experience with research tools used to perform tax research and reinforce understanding of tax law and tax compliance
Experience with Corptax compliance and tax accounting software

Compensation The expected base rate for this role is between $85,000 and $145,000, depending on relevant experience and education.
