As the Lead UX Designer, you will be the primary architect of the player’s journey. Your goal is to ensure that every menu interaction, HUD element, and gameplay flow is inclusive, intuitive, and immersive. Job Description: Defining the User Experience Reporting directly to the

Design Director , the Lead UX Designer is responsible for the overall user experience strategy, including visual, interactive, and workflow design. In the complex world of multiplayer RPGs, clarity and accessibility are paramount. You will work across departments—bridging the gap between engineering, art, and game design—to ensure that the player’s interaction with the game is rewarding and memorable.

Strategic UX Leadership:

Define the interaction guidelines, navigation structures, and overall player journeys for Project Sirius.

Team Mentorship:

Build, guide, and support a dedicated team of UX designers, fostering a culture of curiosity, kindness, and continuous learning.

Design & Prototyping:

Create high-fidelity layouts and usability systems using industry-standard tools, ensuring every touchpoint is polished.

Research-Driven Iteration:

Collaborate with UX Researchers to translate playtest data, marketing insights, and community feedback into actionable design improvements.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration:

Work hand-in-hand with the Lead UI Artist to ensure that aesthetic beauty never comes at the cost of functional clarity.

Unreal Engine Implementation:

Oversee the refinement of UX features within

Unreal Engine , ensuring that prototypes translate effectively into the final build.

Documentation & Planning:

Maintain rigorous design documentation and coordinate with Production to align UX milestones with the broader project roadmap.

Qualifications & Professional Requirements We are looking for a candidate who combines technical proficiency with a deep empathetic understanding of player behavior.

Professional Experience:

Approximately 5+ years of experience in UX Design, with a demonstrated history of taking on leadership responsibilities.

Industry Track Record:

Must have shipped at least one

AAA title

in a design capacity.

Technical Mastery:

Expert proficiency in prototyping tools such as

Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Cloud , and collaborative platforms like

Miro .

Engine Knowledge:

A strong interest in (and ideally experience with) implementing and refining UX systems within

Unreal Engine .

Communication:

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex design philosophies to diverse stakeholders.

Portfolio:

A professional portfolio showcasing your process, from wireframes to final interactive flows, is

mandatory

for consideration.

Nice to Haves

Direct experience as a UX Designer on a

multiplayer

or “Live Service” title.

Advanced skills in creating functional wireframes and interactive prototypes directly within Unreal Engine.

CD PROJEKT RED provides a highly competitive financial package designed to attract and retain the industry’s top talent.

Base Salary Range:

$149,500 – $205,600 USD per annum.

Long-Term Incentive (LTI):

This role may be eligible for an LTI program, including the option to purchase CDPR stock after a designated vesting period.
