Location 1097 Commercial Ave, East Petersburg PA - some remote flexibility once fully trained
HOURS Full Time, 40 hours per week
Summary
Manages the day to day Accounting, Financial and Tax Reporting, Financial Analysis, and Cash Management functions for various Lancaster General Health entities. Ensures all transactions are posted in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial statements are available and books are closed within established time frames. Oversees the required Federal 990 tax filing. Monitors cash management activity. Performs supervisory functions hiring, training, directing all assigned personnel.
Qualified individuals must have the ability with or without reasonable accommodation to perform the following duties:
Acts in a leadership role for the monthly financial statement close process, ensures all necessary data is collected and recorded, and all financial system jobs are run and completed at the appropriate time.
Supports the annual budget process.
Responsible for preparation of the Federal tax returns 990 and 990T. Ensures data is accurately reported and filed timely.
Participates in the year-end audit by providing schedules and analysis to support financial transactions as requested and preparing required footnotes.
Supports the Assistant Controller with financial reporting, data analysis, and special projects.
Monitors and assists in the installation and testing of upgrades and improvements to the Lawson financial software General Ledger and Fixed Assets including training employees in the proper operation of these systems and monitoring their input.
Presents financial results to various levels of leadership and committees.
The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above:
Supervises General Accounting staff and all related functions of the department.
Serves as a liaison and point of contact for leaders on general accounting and financial analysis matters.
Prepares ad hoc financial studies as requested by leadership.
Responds to requests from outside agencies involving financial information and surveys.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field.
7 years of experience in general accounting, financial statement preparation, and financial analysis.
3 - 5 years of management experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to work with all levels of management.
Demonstrated leadership ability and team management skills.
5 years of experience in financial analysis.
5 years budgeting experience.
Certified Public Accountant or Masters in Business Administration.
