Purpose of the Role The Superintendent is responsible for directing and overseeing all on‑site activities involved in the execution of projects, ensuring that they align with Worley’s commitment to delivering sustainable change. Working at the project site, the role provides leadership across a range of functions including construction supervision, field administration, procurement, and engineering. This position plays a key role in bridging current project needs with Worley’s vision for a sustainable future, ensuring projects are completed efficiently while adhering to the company's sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all on‑site activities related to the execution of construction projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Oversee the coordination of field administration, procurement, and field engineering efforts to ensure that project goals align with Worley’s sustainability objectives.

Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure that the work adheres to company policies, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, working proactively to resolve issues that arise during project execution.

Maintain regular communication with company departments to ensure seamless project integration and coordination with other Worley business units.

Foster a culture of safety, sustainability, and innovation, ensuring that site operations meet Worley’s environmental and safety standards.

Monitor project progress and prepare reports, ensuring that key milestones and objectives are met.

Contribute to the development and implementation of sustainability‑focused solutions, supporting Worley’s goal to lead in sustainability and innovation in the energy, chemicals, and resources sectors.

Qualifications - Internal

A university degree in a related field or a relevant trade qualification with additional training and experience.

Demonstrated experience in leading medium‑scale construction projects, with a focus on delivering high‑quality outcomes.

Strong understanding of field administration, procurement, and engineering processes, with the ability to manage these functions within a construction environment.

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and influence project outcomes.

A commitment to sustainability and innovation, with an understanding of how these principles can be integrated into construction project management.

Proactive problem‑solving skills, with the ability to make decisions that align with company objectives and policies.

Experience working on projects of similar scope and scale, ideally within the energy, chemicals, or resources sectors.

Strong understanding of safety regulations and environmental standards, with the ability to promote a culture of safety and sustainability on site.
