We are seeking a relationship-driven fundraising professional to lead community based revenue and partnership efforts for our Meals on Wheels program. This is not a traditional sales role, this position is focused on building authentic relationships, stewarding donors, and growing sustainable community support to serve older adults in our region.

Position Overview The Manager of Community Relations & Fundraising is responsible for leading fundraising efforts, strengthening donor relationships, and building community partnerships that support the growth and sustainability of the Meals on Wheels program.
Reporting to the Director of Meals on Wheels, this role operates with a high level of autonomy and plays a key role in shaping how the program connects with donors, volunteers, and the broader community. This position supervises the Grants Specialist and collaborates closely with marketing partners to communicate impact and tell meaningful stories.
What You’ll Do
Fundraising & Donor Engagement
Develop and implement annual fundraising plans aligned with program goals
Cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors, corporate partners, and sponsors
Lead community based fundraising initiatives and campaigns
Build long-term donor relationships through thoughtful engagement and communication
Track fundraising progress and provide insight into donor trends and opportunities
Community Partnerships & Outreach
Build and maintain partnerships with local businesses, organizations, and community groups
Identify opportunities for sponsorships, in‑kind support, and collaborative initiatives
Represent Meals on Wheels at community events and networking opportunities
Increase program visibility through meaningful, mission‑aligned connections
Volunteer Engagement (Program Support)
Support strategies to recruit and retain volunteers
Collaborate with internal teams to align volunteer efforts with operational needs
Foster community connections that translate into volunteer involvement
Grants & Team Collaboration
Supervise and support the Grants Specialist
Ensure alignment between grant funding, fundraising strategy, and program goals
Collaborate with marketing partners to share stories, impact data, and program outcomes

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $65,000 annually

Requirements What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, public relations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3–5+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, or community engagement
Demonstrated success in building relationships with donors, sponsors, or community partners
Experience with fundraising campaigns, events, or donor stewardship strategies
Strong communication and storytelling skills
Experience working with volunteers or community-based programs preferred
Familiarity with CRM or donor database systems
