This is a quota-carrying business development role focused on building pipeline, reading and creating bid specs, generating new opportunities, and closing deals. Please visit: walshmarineproducts.com Scope and Purpose Role is responsible for generating new business, managing defined sales territory, and driving revenue growth through proactive outbound prospecting and in-person customer engagement. This role owns the full sales cycle—from lead generation through contract close—while maintaining accurate pipeline management and reporting within CRM systems. This is a quota-carrying, travel-based role focused on business development and strategic account growth. Salary: Base Pay + Commissions Essential Duties and Areas of Responsibility Prospect & Build Pipeline Identify high-value target accounts using tools like Apollo, Clay, and ZoomInfo Build targeted prospect lists using firmographic, technographic, and intent-based data Execute outbound campaigns including cold calling, sequenced email outreach, and LinkedIn engagement Use buyer intent signals and trigger events to engage prospects at the right time Map buying committees and reach multiple stakeholders within accounts Track and analyze sales data, prospecting activity and opportunities in HubSpot CRM Maintain accurate pipeline stages, deal values, and forecasts Monitor outreach performance and conversion metrics Provide regular pipeline and revenue forecast updates Close New Business Conduct discovery calls and consultative needs assessments Deliver customized quotes, proposals and pricing solutions Negotiate agreements and close new accounts Meet or exceed revenue and acquisition targets Achieve monthly sales targets with demonstrable key performance indicators (KPIs) Expanding Accounts Travel for in-person meetings with customers Develop relationships with key stakeholders Identify opportunities for account growth and repeat business Required Experience High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree (Marketing, business, or related) Preferred. 5+ years of B2B outbound sales experience Experience in working or selling marina, dock, waterway infrastructure a strong plus. Proven success generating self-sourced sales pipeline Experience with CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred) Hands-on use of sales intelligence tools (Apollo, ZoomInfo, Clay, etc.) Experience building multi-touch outbound sequences Strong consultative sales and negotiation skills Excellent communication and executive-level presentation abilities Tools & Technology HubSpot CRM Microsoft Office or Google Workspace Zoom / Microsoft Teams Physical and Mental Demands Travel & Mobility · Some domestic travel within the continental U.S., including multi-state road trips and occasional multiple overnight stays. · Ability to drive for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours) safely, or coordinate air travel when appropriate. · Navigate client and industrial/manufacturing sites across different regions, including stairs, ramps, and uneven surfaces Office & Desk Work · Extended periods of sitting and working at a computer (4–6+ hours/day). · Frequent phone use, video calls, and keyboard/mouse interaction. · Ability to review technical documents, proposals, and CRM dashboards. Meetings & Presentations · Stand and present for 30–60+ minutes at client locations or trade shows. · Set up and move presentation materials, product samples, or laptops as needed. · Lift and carry items up to 25–75lbs occasionally (product samples, marketing materials, demo kits). · Visits to industrial/manufacturing sites may require PPE (hard hats, safety glasses, closed-toe shoes). · Ability to work safely in environments with moderate noise, dust, or temperature variation. Sensory Requirements · Clear verbal and written communication. · Ability to read documents, charts, and screens accurately. · Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for presentations and meetings.
