The Investor Relations and FP&A Analyst supports both the Investor Relations (IR) and Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) functions, contributing to financial forecasting, performance analysis, corporate planning, and external reporting support processes. The Analyst supports public company planning, earnings preparation, underlying guidance analytics, and ad hoc financial analytics, with exposure to senior leadership, capital markets activity, and cross-functional stakeholders. The role requires strong financial modeling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced public company environment. The position operates with moderate supervision, executing recurring analytical processes and contributing to projects of increasing complexity while upholding BKV’s standards, values, and culture. Responsibilities

FP&A Responsibilities

Support annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes. Assist in preparing public financial guidance, including scenario, sensitivity, and downside/upside analyses. Perform variance analysis versus budget, forecast, guidance, and prior periods. Work with functional teams to support G&A budgeting, cost tracking, and performance analysis. Prepare management reporting materials, dashboards, and analytical summaries for senior leadership. Maintain and enhance financial models, forecasting tools, and reporting templates. Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, capital allocation evaluation, and operational planning. Investor Relations Responsibilities

Support peer benchmarking, valuation analysis, and competitive intelligence. Analyze actual financial and operating results versus public guidance and market expectations for internal review. Monitor and analyze sell-side analyst consensus estimates, models, and forecasts. Prepare and maintain analytical workbooks, schedules, and supporting materials for the earnings process. Support earnings preparation through data gathering, validation, reconciliation, and trend analysis. Assist with special projects and financial models supporting investor materials, capital markets analysis, and strategic communications. Maintain historical financial databases, KPI tracking, and IR reporting materials. General Responsibilities

Provide analytical and execution support across the IR and FP&A functions. Coordinate inputs across internal planning and external investor materials to ensure alignment. Collaborate cross-functionally with Accounting, Operations, Legal, and other teams to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness. Maintain strong data integrity, documentation, and version control across models and reporting. Support continuous improvement of financial processes, tools, and analytics. Perform other duties as required. Required Skills

Strong foundation in accounting and corporate finance principles. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain financial models, including scenario and sensitivity analysis. Understanding of public company reporting, earnings processes, and investor relations fundamentals from an analytical support perspective. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial systems and data tools preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. High attention to detail with strong organization and prioritization skills. Effective interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Growth mindset with the ability to innovate, learn quickly, embrace change, take on increasing responsibility, and have grit. Demonstrated cognitive and problem-solving skills. Education & Experience

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required. Typically requires 2–4 years of relevant experience in FP&A, accounting, investment banking, equity research, investor relations, or corporate finance. Preferred

Energy industry experience. Progress toward CFA. Physical Demands and Working Conditions

Location

This position is located in Denver, CO at BKV Headquarters. Remote or hybrid work may be considered. Minimal travel may be required. Working Conditions

Primarily office-based with standard business hours; extended hours may be required depending on business needs. May occasionally be exposed to distracting noise while sharing office space with others. Physical Demands

Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to operate a computer, telephone, and other office equipment. Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary, commensurate with experience. Base Salary: Min. $61,000 to Max. $112,000.00 Performance-based bonus eligibility. Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance plans.
