Employee Relations Business Partner Location: Austin, TX

Schedule: Hybrid schedule – 3 days in office and 2 days remote.

Responsibilities

Engage in the development, planning, and implementation of employee relations policies and procedures.

Investigate, resolve, or appropriately escalate complex workplace issues to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.

Advise, train, and consult employees on policies, performance management, corrective action, and issue resolution.

Provide employee counseling, equal employment opportunity support, and labor relations assistance.

Coordinate grievance resolution and investigate allegations of unlawful discrimination, drafting position statements as necessary.

Manage performance management initiatives and resolve employee relations issues.

Collaborate with leadership, legal, and regional HR Business Partners to align HR objectives with business goals.

Communicate and provide guidance to maintain the integrity of all human resources policies and procedures.

Lead intake sessions, investigations, and resource solicitation for potential employee relations issues.

Collaborate with Information Security on compliance and counseling issues related to misuse of confidential information.

Facilitate formal learning activities and other development sessions as needed.

Seek and implement process improvements, including automation and transfer of tasks to Workday.

Contribute as a project leader or team member on HR continuous improvement initiatives.

Use data and analytics to drive major responsibilities.

Maintain professional knowledge of HR trends by attending workshops, reviewing publications, and networking.

Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications

BA/BS degree in a business-related field, human resources, or employment law (or equivalent work experience).

Minimum of 8 years of related work experience.

Experience handling employee complaints and grievances, ensuring fair and timely resolutions.

Experience managing disciplinary processes and investigations.

Ability to develop and implement employee policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements.

Strong business acumen, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.

Strong analytical skills and proficiency with data, technology, and problem‑solving tools.

Proven experience with decision‑making and multi‑tasking to respond to employee inquiries.

Capability to perform HR responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.

35% travel to other regional offices; primary office location could be Austin, TX or Chaska, MN.

Physical Demands and Work Conditions This largely sedentary role requires an 8‑hour daily presence at a computer screen/keyboard. Occasional lifting of office supplies and filing up to 35 pounds and manning a standard office environment are required.
