About the Role Designers at Closets by Design begin their career with 5 days of intensive classroom‑style training on design and drafting and the formula for successful in‑home selling. Immediately following the classroom training, designers are sent on their first appointments.
During their first three months designers will have a full schedule of appointments and continuing training sessions which include field training as well as more advanced design training.
While designers are paid by commission only, Closets By Design makes a large investment in each designer’s leads, approximately $5,000 each month, per designer. After the first 3 months, designers who maintain the minimum closing ratio can expect a full schedule of appointments throughout their career.
Our Designers are required to work one evening per week and every third Saturday.
Typical designers earn on average of $3,000 to $4,000 per month after their first 3 months and on average $5,000 to $7,000 per month after their first year. Above average designers earn between $80K and $100K per year.
