Overview

Location New York City (4 days in-office, Fridays remote) Position Summary The Senior Vice President of the ANA B2B Marketing Practice is the organization’s leading voice for modern B2B marketing. This executive sets the strategic direction for the Practice, elevates ANA as the industry’s premier authority, and convenes the world’s most senior B2B marketing leaders to shape the future of the discipline. The SVP will drive industry‑defining thought leadership, oversee a $1M+ portfolio of programs and events, and ensure B2B’s role as a commercial growth engine is fully recognized across the ANA ecosystem. The role blends vision and execution, requiring deep industry credibility, intellectual leadership, operational excellence, and strong commercial accountability.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Industry Influence Define and execute the strategic vision for the ANA B2B Marketing Practice

Position ANA as the central authority and go‑to resource for B2B marketing

Elevate the visibility, influence, and credibility of B2B marketing across the industry

Represent the voice and needs of B2B marketers within ANA and beyond

Executive Community Leadership Build and lead a global community of senior B2B marketing executives

Guide peer‑driven identification of the industry’s most critical challenges

Oversee working groups that develop actionable frameworks and solutions

Thought Leadership & Research Lead ANA’s B2B research agenda and intellectual property portfolio

Deliver market‑moving insights on topics such as AI, measurement, creativity, and commercial growth

Translate complex findings into practical, implementable frameworks

Align research outputs with conferences, committees, and member capability development

Portfolio Oversight & Program Excellence Oversee all B2B committees, conferences, awards, and webinars

Ensure quality, coherence, and strategic integration across the full portfolio

Shape the vision and programming for the Masters of B2B Marketing Conference

Steward the B2 Awards as a flagship revenue and credibility driver

Commercial & Operational Accountability Manage and grow a $1M+ line of business

Drive revenue across conferences, awards, sponsorships, and registrations

Balance commercial performance with member‑first value and long‑term brand integrity

Track and improve engagement, satisfaction, and NPS metrics

Partner & Ecosystem Integration Collaborate with Sponsorship leadership to align partner strategy

Integrate partners thoughtfully across content, events, and thought leadership

Ensure B2B perspectives are represented across ANA’s broader divisions and initiatives

B2B Practice Team Leader Lead proactively and develop a division that the rest of ANA can look to as a new consistently performing, trusted partner

Develop deeper quantitative and qualitative understanding of membership needs

Mentor, guide, and optimize team to ensure optimized execution, and improve on annual plan deliverables

Attributes/Skills Required

Bachelor's degree and 15+ years of senior-level experience in B2B marketing, agency leadership, consulting, or marketing technology environments

Proven deep subject matter expertise in business-to-business marketing with recent senior-level experience from within a marketer, agency, or marketing solutions provider

A recognized industry leader with credibility among senior marketers

Excellent project management skills and the ability to drive key strategic initiatives. Getting things done in an environment of change is a continuously present imperative

Excellent communications skills – must be able to write and present effectively; adjust to fit the audience and the message; strong ability to get a message across and be persuasive

Curious, passionate, start-up sense of urgency and entrepreneurial mindset; not afraid to take risks and try new things, and always looking for new ways to expand your knowledge and experience

Ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent project demands with quick turnaround times and to work collaboratively with a team, as well as independently and with minimal supervision

A relationship builder and people person – the position provides the opportunity to work with ANA members at hundreds of companies

Salary and Total Rewards Package

Starting pay range: $185,000 to $195,000, based on relevant experience and qualifications.
