Senior Creative Job at Burson in Atlanta

Burson, Atlanta, GA, United States

Overview Burson, part of WPP, is the global communications leader built to create value for clients through reputation. We help brands redefine reputation as a competitive advantage and work as a global community of lifelong learners who thrive at the edge of innovation.

What You'll Do

Concept & Craft:

Build big, integrated, earned-first ideas. From campaign platforms to activations and content series, connect ideas to culture with visuals and narratives that feel native to fans and newsworthy to editors.

Drive stories in earned and social:

Develop ideas designed to travel through headlines, creators, fan pages and social feeds, starting with the question: what’s the headline, what’s the moment people will share?

Own the story and the look:

Define the creative world for our clients: tone of voice, visual language, references, and how it flexes across social, digital, PR, broadcast, OOH and experiential.

Trendjack with taste:

Spot cultural tensions, narratives and live moments in music, sports, and wider culture and turn them into sharp, timely concepts and executions.

Pitch like you mean it:

Sell ideas with sharp decks, strong rationale, and clear links to fandom, culture, and earned impact.

Ship with taste and precision:

Drive work from sketch to launch across film, design, social and experiential, protecting the idea, craft, and details (copy, visuals, rights, legal).

Chase work that wins:

Create award-worthy projects end to end, turning raw fan insight and cultural tension into ideas that land on juries’ shortlists.

Sport, Culture & Influence

Be the in-house culture brain:

Understand how culture moves across platforms and communities—from music and fashion to sport, gaming and internet subcultures.

Live the feeds:

Mine platforms for signals, storylines and opportunities for brands to plug into in ways that feel real.

Leadership & Mentorship

Be a true creative partner:

Act as a key creative lead on accounts, shaping briefs and guiding briefs beyond just answering them.

Help grow the agency:

Contribute to pitches and organic growth with ideas that fit fans and the brand.

Raise the creative bar:

Lead initiatives that elevate the agency’s creative reputation and champion ideas with real cultural impact.

Inspire the room:

Bring energy, taste and a positive, collaborative attitude that improves the work and process.

Develop the squad:

Mentor junior creatives and freelancers, partnering with strategy, account and production to deliver earned-ready ideas.

Experience That Contributes To Success

5+ years in a creative role at an agency, in-house, or other environments that demonstrate high-level thinking and execution.

Culture-first, with a point of view:

Deep obsession with culture across sport, music, fashion, entertainment and beyond; understand how audiences move and how to translate that into sharp, brand-right ideas.

Dual threat portfolio:

Visual craft (design, photography direction, film, social/digital experiences) and word craft (scripts, social content, storytelling, platform thinking). Ideally with multiple pieces showing love for culture.

Earned first mindset:

Examples of ideas built to earn—PR stunts, cultural activations, social moments, partnerships or drops that generated real coverage and engagement.

Conceptual Thinker:

Able to develop strategic and innovative concepts that leverage the dynamic relationship between music, sports, and wider pop culture trends.

Communication Master:

Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills to articulate a creative vision to diverse audiences.

Production Savvy:

Experience guiding projects through all production phases, understanding visual and written content creation nuances.

Team Player:

Collaborative across disciplines and able to inspire those around you.
