Job Role: The Director of Supply Chain & Procurement is responsible for executing the company’s demand plan through close partnership with third-party contract manufacturers. This role owns product costing, purchasing decisions, and supplier performance, ensuring products are produced on time and aligned with margin goals. Success in this role is measured by disciplined purchasing, reliable supply, and the ability to negotiate and manage costs without compromising quality or timelines.

This role does NOT manage warehouses, transportation, or logistics teams.

Instead, this role focuses exclusively on

contract manufacturing ownership — including costing, purchasing, and supplier accountability.

What This Role

Is Owns relationships with supplement contract manufacturers (CMOs) Understands how products are manufactured and costed (ingredients, MOQs, yields, changeovers) Owns SKU-level cost models and purchasing decisions Negotiates pricing, terms, and capacity to protect margins Holds external partners accountable to timelines and quality Partners closely with Finance and Leadership on product economics You will spend your time working with contract manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, finance, and leadership — not running warehouses or managing trucks.

Is Not Warehouse or distribution center management Transportation, freight, or logistics optimization Pick/pack, shipping, or forklift supervision Internal production or plant management

Candidates with backgrounds primarily in logistics or warehousing will not be a fit.

Qualifications: 5+ years in supply chain, procurement, or contract manufacturing in the

supplement or supplement manufacturing industry Direct experience working with third‑party manufacturers

(supplements or nutraceuticals) Proven track record of cost negotiation and margin improvement Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel. Analytical mindset with ability to interpret demand plans and translate into actionable purchase orders. Effective communication and collaboration skills across teams and with external partners. Experience working with contracted manufacturers in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and cost optimization strategies.

Language Skills: Must speak English. Must have solid written and verbal communication skills, ability to pay attention to detail and maintain confidentiality, strong interpersonal skills, and commitment to working with a diverse staff are essential to successful carry out the duties of this position. Excellent ability to communicate. Ability to draft reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and employees.
