Job Summary The Senior Manager / Director of Green Grass & Field Sales is responsible for the sales, strategy and growth of Sun Mountain golf products and services within the green grass channel, including pro shops, management groups and field sales execution. With a focus on strengthening our position in green grass, this individual will maintain strong relationships with key accounts, reps and partners while driving business performance across territories.

This role is responsible for building structure and consistency across the field, improving execution and identifying opportunities to grow revenue, expand brand presence and increase sell-through across product categories including apparel, bags, travel and custom programs.

Duties/Responsibilities

Successfully sell and promote Sun Mountain’s products and services while maximizing green grass channel potential, ensuring strong partnerships, profitability and strategic alignment.

Responsible for driving bookings, sell‑in and sell‑through across green grass accounts, management groups and field territories.

Champion adoption and effective use of RepSpark across the field, driving consistency, visibility and improved sales execution.

Maintain open communication between Sun Mountain, independent reps, TSRs and green grass accounts.

Establish strong relationships with key personnel across accounts and partners.

Along with internal team, drive green grass sales strategy and execution, including identifying new opportunities, expanding account penetration and growing relationships within key golf properties and management groups.

Problem‑solving and regular follow‑up and tracking of product, orders and delivery execution across the field.

Collaborate with sales leadership to develop and implement strategies that drive revenue growth, expand market share and improve field execution.

Communicate regular business updates with summarized trend analysis, field insights and opportunities to product, sales and marketing teams internally.

Analyze sales data, trends and customer insights to guide territory planning, account focus and product assortment decisions.

Complete forecasts, reporting and territory updates with accuracy and consistency.

Drive accountability and visibility across the field, including rep communication, performance tracking and execution of key initiatives.

Partner closely with marketing, product and operations to deliver effective go‑to‑market strategies, product launches and promotional campaigns within the green grass channel.

Work closely with customer service, custom and warehouse teams to ensure strong execution of custom programs, microsites and cresting tied to green grass and team sales.

Stay on top of industry trends, competitive landscape and opportunities within green grass and golf retail.

Conduct regular field visits, including key accounts, tournaments and events, to present product, strengthen relationships and drive growth.

Coordinate and lead biannual sales meetings, including planning, content alignment and communication to ensure strong field engagement and alignment with company goals.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit at a desk for long periods of time.

Ability to use a computer/keyboard for long periods of time.

Required Skills/Abilities

Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or related field; or equivalent experience in golf industry.

5–8+ years of sales experience, with demonstrated success in green grass, field sales, or related channels.

Strong understanding of the golf industry, including green grass, management groups and field sales dynamics.

Experience working with independent reps and/or field sales teams.

Excellent relationship management, communication and negotiation skills.

Strong analytical and organizational skills with experience in CRM, RepSpark or similar sales tools.

Ability to partner cross‑functionally with marketing, product, operations and customer service teams.

Based in Missoula, MT or Carlsbad, CA.

Ability to travel as needed.
