Role Overview The Associate Director will support the orchestration of retail media and digital commerce strategy across Unilever’s Beauty & Wellbeing portfolio, ensuring strong alignment between strategy, activation, and cross‑channel planning across media and content. The role is responsible for translating high‑level strategic direction into actionable plans across retailers while driving coordination across internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Translate senior strategy into retailer‑specific, channel‑specific plans across media and digital commerce content.
Support prioritisation across brands, SKUs, and demand drivers.
Ensure strategies are grounded in performance data, content insights, and category dynamics.
Connect retail media plans with national media, shopper marketing, and digital commerce content initiatives.
Ensure consistency in messaging, targeting, content, and timing across channels.
Support integrated planning processes across WPP teams.
Act as a central point of coordination across Amazon, Walmart, Target, Kroger, and pure‑play teams.
Ensure alignment in campaign structure, keyword strategy, and content optimisation approach.
Identify gaps and opportunities across retailers and digital shelves.
Project Management
Manage timelines, deliverables, and workflows across multiple workstreams.
Drive progress against key initiatives and escalates risks as needed.
Support implementation of new frameworks (e.g., demand‑space mapping, campaign restructuring, content optimisation standards).
Stakeholder Communication
Support development of client‑ready materials and strategic narratives.
Participate in client meetings and present key updates.
Maintain strong day‑to‑day relationships with cross‑functional teams.
Qualifications
7–9 years of experience in retail media, digital commerce, or digital marketing.
Strong understanding of retail media platforms and digital commerce fundamentals.
Familiarity with content optimisation, PDP strategy, and organic search is a plus.
Experience managing cross‑functional projects.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
Success Profile
Strong operator who can connect strategy to execution across media and content.
Detail oriented but able to see the bigger picture.
Collaborative and proactive problem‑solver.
