Position Summary Crescent Constructors, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the successful execution of water, wastewater, and heavy civil construction projects. The Assistant Superintendent works closely with the Superintendent and project team to help coordinate daily field operations, maintain schedules, support subcontractor and self‑perform activities, and ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications. This role is ideal for a developing field leader with strong construction knowledge and a desire to grow into a Superintendent role.
What You’ll Do
Assist the Superintendent with day-to-day field supervision of construction activities
Help coordinate subcontractors, crews, equipment, and material deliveries
Support implementation of the project schedule and assist with short-term planning
Monitor work progress to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards
Assist with site logistics, work sequencing, and coordination between trades
Help enforce company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site‑specific safety requirements
Participate in job hazard analyses, safety meetings, and daily planning meetings
Assist with documentation including daily reports, work progress tracking, and issue resolution
Communicate effectively with project management, field crews, subcontractors, and inspectors
Support punch list completion, inspections, and closeout activities
Perform additional duties as directed by the Superintendent or Project Manager
What We’re Looking For
Minimum of 3 years of field experience in heavy civil, water, or wastewater construction
Experience supporting field supervision, crew coordination, or subcontractor oversight preferred
Working knowledge of construction means and methods
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules
Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices and quality control requirements
Ability to effectively communicate with field personnel, subcontractors, and management
Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job, including prolonged standing, walking, climbing, and navigating active construction sites
Ability to take direction from supervisors and remain task‑oriented
Commitment to following all company and general safety rules, policies, and guidelines
