Part-Time Marketing Assistant, Campus Auxiliaries Communications and Marketing

Overview The Campus Auxiliaries Communications and Marketing team manages strategic and operational communications and marketing for units whose essential services keep IU Bloomington (IUB) welcoming, running, and thriving. This role supports IUB 2030 goals, specifically Student Success and Opportunity, Access, Wellness, and Student Support, fostering a student community that stimulates engagement and well‑being among all students. Responsibilities Produces compelling, audience‑appropriate copy using IU and AP style guidelines, and eye‑catching professional visual assets using Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Express. Works closely with the full‑time Social Media Specialist to brainstorm ideas for social posts. Uses Meta Business Suite to schedule, manage, create, and analyze performance across the ecosystem of campus auxiliary social media channels. Works closely with the part‑time Project Manager to help maintain project timelines and stakeholder communication through ClickUp. Acts as a point of contact for auxiliary business units, communicating between the communication team and clients. Collaborates with the broader communications team to support synchronized messaging in print media and digital platforms such as websites and email. Education Bachelor's degree (preferably in marketing, communications, or a related field). Work Experience Experience managing web content via WCMS. Video production experience. Required Skills Strong proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal contexts. Experience creating written and visual content for marketing and communications projects and channels. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and Adobe Express. Excellent communication and time‑management skills. Project management skills. Preferred Skills Fluency in Meta Business Suite for multi‑channel management. Proven management of successful social accounts and campaigns. Familiarity with ClickUp or similar project management platforms. Exposure to Salesforce Marketing Cloud for digital marketing and audience segmentation. Job Details Location: Bloomington, Indiana. This is an in‑person position.
