
Sr. Manager, Field Marketing – Spirits

The Sr. Manager, Field Marketing – Spirits role localizes national programming to meet the needs of their local markets. This role serves as the area expert for the spirits brands and acts as a liaison between Commercial Sales and Brand Teams. This role will work cross functionally to drive the strategy and priorities of the brands and commercial teams.
Job responsibilities
Localize Brand Programming:
Identifies opportunities for assigned brands in that fit in the assigned area
Localizes and adapts brand programming to market/account needs/distributors
Manages brand programming activities, analyzes ROI to inform future activations, and develops local activity recaps
Partners with Brand Teams and Market Sales teams to generate innovative, high-impact local programming ideas to meet market needs. Inclusive of brand activation, local account opportunities, community connections, local influencers, etc.
Manges A&P budget: identifies gaps/ opportunities/ risks, determines ROI of programs, makes recommendations to the state/market lead for alignment
Liaises between Brand Teams and Sales Teams with the goals of driving both sales and brand equity.
Business Development:
Utilizes competitive intelligence research from business intelligence.
Identifies new account opportunities for the Commercial Sales Team to vet
Participate in the budget planning process representing their respective areas
Local Market Management:
Manages Distributors & Commercial Sales for Winemaker/Maison visits to ensure product availability
Manages Local POSM in partnership with Account Leads
Leads VAP forecast/ allocation process in the local market- liaison between Brand Teams and Sales Team
Prepares for and participates in GSMs & distributor meetings
Serve as a connector to understand brand vision and localize it
Downstream: communication of plans, tools, etc. to commercial team
Upstream: communication of opportunities, risks, and market needs to brand team
Executional Excellence: Manage luxury execution in the market
Guardian of the brand and market advocate for what is needed
Elevating all stakeholders in the market; distributors, trade engagement, and Moët Hennessy
New Business and Recruitment
Prospecting for new business opportunities through all channels (on/off/non-premise)
Building relationships with key customers, local influencers, etc.
Managing programs across subchannels (i.e., local 360 opportunities: Lunar New Year, LA Polo)
Education
Bachelor’s degree or relevant industry experience required
Professional Experience
7 + years trade marketing or creative marketing experience in wines and spirits, consumer packaged goods, or retail industries
Strong business/commercial strategy experience. Strong sales experience with strategic orientation or strong marketing experience with commercial orientation, field marketing, planning, communications and influencing skills
Capabilities
Strong commercial/analytical skills required
Deep knowledge of MHUSA portfolio, brand guidelines, & customer/consumer expectations
Highly refined organizational skills and experience managing a substantial number of projects and details
Ability to create partnerships with customers, distributor, and internal stakeholders
Plans and prioritizes work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals
Applies knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization's goals; monitors business news and market changes for impact on the business or on own expertise area; uses this to shape decisions
