POSITION SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Measurement Analyst position is to analyze, interpret, and validate measurement data directly related to company assets. The position will be responsible for identifying problems with measurement data and determining potential solutions. In addition, the position will provide support, when needed, for upstream and downstream business groups. RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and compiles periodic reports related to domestic measurement compliance, hydrocarbon loss control, system balances, KPIs, and supply/demand schedules for management review. Obtains and reconciles receipt and delivery statements, verifies or approves measurement system balances, and ensures accuracy of final settlement statements through coordination with field personnel. Analyzes hourly hydrocarbon data, customer impact reports, and gain/loss trends; applies calibrations and verifications in field measurement systems to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity. Reviews and analyzes contracts, exchange agreements, and regulatory requirements to understand and communicate their impact on measurement, including reporting obligations for customers, government, and internal teams. Monitors and tracks hydrocarbon status, measurement exceptions, and exchange imbalances; investigates and resolves issues using tools like FLOWCAL, TestIT, and ProveIT. Provides advanced troubleshooting of FLOWCAL calculations, meter inspections, and both standard/custom reports using tools such as FLOWCAL and Crystal Reports; assists team members in understanding report structure and purpose. Conducts special measurement studies related to system performance, foreign/domestic supply, and flow computer enhancements; leverages advanced knowledge of sampling methods and strong communication skills to document and communicate findings to stakeholders.
