Job Title: Security and Fire Solutions Consultant
The Commercial Security & Fire Panel Solutions Consultant will be responsible for driving sales of commercial security systems and fire alarm systems. This role requires a strong understanding of security technologies, fire safety compliance, and integration solutions. The representative will work closely with clients to identify their needs, design tailored solutions, and ensure successful implementation. Acting as a trusted advisor, the representative will provide strategic guidance to enhance safety and security for commercial properties. Heavy prospecting and overnight travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Lead Generation: Aggressively identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and industry events.
Sales & Solution Design: Develop customized security and fire solutions based on client requirements and compliance standards.
Product Demonstrations: Conduct presentations and demos showcasing the value and functionality of commercial security and fire systems.
Technical Consultation: Advise clients on best practices for system design, installation, and integration with existing infrastructure.
Project Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and successful deployment of solutions.
Market Awareness: Stay informed on industry trends, NFPA codes, UL standards, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
Client Relationship Management: Act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any issues promptly.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in security/fire technology or related field.
Minimum 2+ years in commercial security or fire system sales.
Strong knowledge of access control, intrusion detection, CCTV, and fire alarm panels.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet aggressive sales targets.
Willingness to travel overnight and perform heavy prospecting as needed.
Career Advancement Successful representatives can advance to Senior Sales Consultant roles after consistently meeting quotas for at least one year and demonstrating the ability to manage larger, more complex projects.
