What You’ll Be Doing
Design and improve our website UX/UI:
Collaborate with our marketing and growth team to design key website pages and flows – from homepage and collection pages to product detail pages (PDPs) and checkout. Your primary focus will be creating compelling, conversion-optimized experiences across our Shopify storefront.
Design high-converting order sections and buy boxes:
Tackle the most critical (and most challenging) conversion touchpoints on our site. You’ll craft thoughtful layouts with clear hierarchy, trust signals, pricing presentation, and calls-to-action designed to maximize add-to-cart and purchase rates.
Apply data-informed design thinking:
Use user behavior insights, analytics, heatmaps, and UX best practices to inform your design decisions. You’ll partner with our growth team to design variations for A/B tests and iterate based on results.
Translate brand into digital experience:
Ensure every page reflects Pool Day’s fun, approachable, and trustworthy brand identity. You’ll help maintain and evolve our design system to keep the site visually cohesive and on-brand.
Design for paid social landing experiences:
Create landing pages and post-click experiences optimized for traffic coming from Meta, TikTok, and other paid social channels – understanding the unique UX considerations for impulse-driven, mobile-first shoppers.
Collaborate with marketing and growth:
Work closely with our marketing and growth team to bring designs from concept to launch. You’ll deliver polished Figma mockups and specs that developers can build with precision.
Who You Are
You have 3+ years of UX/UI design experience focused on eCommerce websites, ideally for DTC brands
You have formal training or education in UX design, interaction design, or a related field – and it shows in how you think about user flows, information architecture, and visual hierarchy.
You have meaningful experience designing order sections, buy boxes, and product detail pages that drive conversion. You understand the nuances of pricing presentation, trust signals, urgency elements, and CTA placement.
You are highly proficient in Figma and familiar with prototyping and developer handoff workflows. Bonus points for experience with heatmap / session recording tools (e.g., Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity).
You have a strong portfolio demonstrating measurable improvements to conversion rates, user engagement, or other key eCommerce metrics.
You are data-informed and experienced in using analytics and user behavior insights (heatmaps, session recordings, A/B test results) to guide design decisions.
You understand responsive and mobile-first design principles and have experience designing for cross-device compatibility.
You are a clear communicator who can present design rationale and collaborate effectively in a small, fast-moving team.
