Associate Director, Foundation Relations

We seek applicants for a full‑time position to join our Development team. The Associate Director oversees annual giving to the Foundation’s funding priorities, including the constituent relationship management (CRM/Raiser’s Edge) database and donor communications.

General Responsibilities

Provide leadership for and manage the operation of annual campaigns, including direct mail solicitation, personal solicitation, and other outreach.

Manage Foundation fundraising events by securing sponsorships, recruiting and managing volunteers, coordinating related committees, and developing budgets.

Serve as the liaison to the Foundation Board and advise various areas of the College on fundraising events.

In coordination with the Foundation Analyst, produce reports and analyze data related to existing and prospective donors.

Support the Executive Director and the Board in other fundraising activities and outreach.

Supervise the Program Assistant.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.

Experience with fundraising administration including database management.

Experience planning special events and/or other fundraising activities.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to work inclusively with diverse constituents such as a board of directors, donors, volunteers, and other campus community members.

Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends for Foundation events.

Desired Qualifications

Familiarity with the mission of a community college.

Familiarity with HCC’s district and community leadership.

Familiarity with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge fundraising software.

Record of securing sponsorship support from corporations and individuals.

Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of volunteers to meet fundraising goals.

This position is based in Central Illinois and the ability to be present on‑campus/in‑person is required.
