
Assistant Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Superintendent to support field operations on ground-up commercial and industrial construction projects throughout the Tampa area. This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on experience in tilt‑wall, warehouse, and large‑scale commercial builds who is looking to grow into a lead Superintendent position.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Lead Superintendent with day‑to‑day on‑site construction operations
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure schedule adherence
Support execution of ground‑up
tilt‑wall , warehouse, and commercial projects
Maintain project schedules and assist with short‑interval planning
Enforce jobsite safety standards and ensure OSHA compliance
Conduct daily site walks and track progress, quality, and productivity
Help manage inspections, punch lists, and project closeout
Read and interpret construction drawings, specs, and shop drawings
Assist in resolving field issues and coordinating with project management teams
Project Types

Commercial developments (retail, office, light industrial)
Qualifications
2–5+ years of experience as an Assistant Superintendent or Field Engineer
Experience with
tilt‑wall construction
is strongly preferred
Background in
commercial or industrial construction
required
Experience on warehouse or distribution center projects is a plus
Strong knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, and safety protocols
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
Familiarity with scheduling software (Procore, MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
