## Description**Continuous Improvement Technician (CI Technician)**The Continuous Improvement Technician reports to the Director of Manufacturing or Continuous

Improvement Manager and supports the identification, development, and implementation of

process improvements across the manufacturing and assembly operations. This role involves

analyzing production data, conducting root cause analyses, and working with cross-functional

teams to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality. The CI Technician will use

Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to capture daily problems,

issues, and opportunities on the shop floor to achieve operational excellence. This position

provides an excellent opportunity to make a measurable impact on the company's operational

efficiency and overall performance.**Responsibilities:**

• Evaluate and analyze current manufacturing processes to identify problems, issues, and

opportunities including non-value activities and bottlenecks.

• Implement solutions that improve product flow, reduce production costs, and enhance

overall efficiency.

• Support Kaizen events and workshops aimed at improving specific processes.

• Collect data related to production metrics, such as cycle times, downtime, and yield rates.

• Use statistical tools to analyze data, identify trends, and propose improvement actions.

• Report on continuous improvement projects and track progress using key performance

indicators (KPIs).

• Work with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, engineering, and supply

chain, to ensure alignment on improvement initiatives.

• Assist in training employees on Lean manufacturing principles, problem-solving

techniques, and continuous improvement tools.

• Assist in implementing Lean and Six Sigma projects, including 5S, value stream mapping,

and mistake-proofing (Poka-Yoke) activities.

• Support corrective actions and follow up on improvement projects to ensure sustainable

change.

• Conduct root cause analyses (RCAs) to identify the underlying causes of production issues

or quality defects.

• Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence and ensure continuous improvement

through PIOs and any other related method of delivery.

• Document and standardize best practices across the organization.

• Create and update standard work instructions (SWIs) related to improved processes.**Requirements:**

• High school diploma or GED required. An Associate degree in Manufacturing, Industrial

Technology, or a related field is preferred.

• 1-3 years of experience within a manufacturing environment.

• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification. Green Belt is preferred.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to conduct root cause analysis.

• Proficiency with Microsoft tools and other relevant software.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

• Ability to change priorities at any given moment without issues.

• Ability to present to senior leadership as needed for progress updates.

• Strong ability to gain trust and build rapport while working in different areas of the
