Job Description
Freedom Plaza is recruiting for the Director of Community Life Services. The Director will plan, coordinate, and direct a wide range of activities and programming that meet the spiritual, emotional, intellectual, vocational, social, physical, health service, and environmental needs of residents.
Responsibilities
Design and implement a diverse monthly calendar of events, including recreational, wellness, creative arts, lifelong learning, and intergenerational programming.
Coordinate with clinical, dining, and wellness staff to ensure activities are inclusive and meet residents’ individual abilities and interests.
Ensure programming reflects residents’ feedback, preferences, and needs across all care levels.
Build partnerships with local organizations, performers, and volunteers to enhance resident experience.
Create annual plan, goals, budgets, pricing and performance standards; maintain records pertaining to the department budget; monitor and control cost expenditures, providing justifications for variances; submit all appropriate billings for services provided by the department.
Qualifications
College degree in recreational therapy and/or Activity Director Certification preferred.
Two years of appropriate professional experience in geriatrics, recreation, or social administration preferred.
Two years of experience in leadership preferred.
