About The Role Our firm is partnering with a well-established, regional insurance and risk management organization to hire an Employee Benefits Account Manager. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality service to employer clients by managing and supporting their employee benefits programs, including health and welfare plans.

The Employee Benefits Account Manager serves as a primary day-to-day contact for clients and works closely with Risk Advisors to evaluate benefit options, oversee renewals, and ensure a seamless client experience. Job Description The Employee Benefits Account Manager serves as the primary service contact for assigned clients and works closely with Risk Advisors to manage and support employee benefits programs. This role focuses on delivering high-quality client service, assisting with renewals and plan changes, analyzing benefit options, and ensuring accurate implementation and ongoing administration of benefit plans. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the main point of contact for employee benefits clients, responding to inquiries in a timely and accurate manner

Advise clients on benefit plan options, coverage questions, claims issues, billing concerns, and carrier or plan changes

Support Risk Advisors by analyzing benefit markets, evaluating competitive pricing, and developing client-specific insurance solutions

Review carrier quotes, policy documents, and contracts to ensure accuracy and proper coverage

Prepare renewal comparisons, proposals, and supporting documentation

Coordinate onboarding and implementation of new benefit groups with carriers and internal systems

Assist with marketing of new and renewal business under the direction of Risk Advisors

Participate in client meetings, including renewal and strategy discussions, as needed

Resolve service issues to ensure a high level of client satisfaction

Identify and refer cross-department opportunities as appropriate

Maintain accurate records and activity notes within agency management and CRM systems

Comply with all applicable federal and state regulations and industry best practices

Participate in training and ongoing professional development

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred

Minimum of 3 years of experience in employee benefits, insurance, or a related field

Active Life & Health insurance license (or ability to obtain within a defined period)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment

Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Ability to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working within an insurance brokerage, agency, or risk management firm

Familiarity with agency management systems such as AMS360 and document management tools such as ImageRight

Experience supporting benefit renewal cycles and carrier negotiations

Industry certifications or professional designations (or interest in pursuing them)
