
Campus Associate Kids Director
Rock City Church, Columbus, OH, United States
To provide location leadership and spiritual guidance to the Rock City Kids Department. To ensure effectiveness and efficiency of the overall operations of the Rock City Kids program at the location level.
GENERAL DUTIES
Visible leader of the location, executing the vision of Rock City Church and Rock City Kids
Provide oversight, leadership, and direction to the location Rock City Kids ministry
Ensure the assigned functions of day-to-day operations at campus are executed
Engage children ages infant through fifth grade in the Rock City Kids experience
Implement curriculum for weekly Worship Experiences
Ensure a safe, clean, and age-appropriate environment for kids in all areas
Equip families with resources and materials to continue teaching their children about Jesus after the weekly Worship Experience
Develop high-capacity Rock City Kids leaders
Oversee the onboarding process for new volunteers, including follow up of profile, background check and training (sexual abuse awareness training)
Oversee, coordinate, and implement plans for recruiting new leaders, leadership development, and leader retention
Lead and build teams to execute all aspects of kids ministry for weekend services
Consistent communication with key leaders to ensure alignment of policy and procedure
Build relationships with parents and families at location
Respond to emergencies/urgent issues as they arise
Partner with Youth Director to make a healthy transition from Rock City Kids to Rock City Youth
Support Central Kids responsibilities, as assigned
Requirements SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3+ years of hands‑on Kids ministry experience (preferred)
Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Must be willing to learn new programs as needed
Heart for children and parents
Ability to communicate the Gospel through various means to children at various ages
Proven ability to lead teams
Superior interpersonal skills working with a variety of people
Positive attitude and positive approach to problem solving
Good steward of time and resources
Self‑starter and can champion new initiatives
Experience with Special Needs (preferred)
