Overview The Assistant Director (AD) provides assistance to the Associate Director with the responsibilities of development, maintenance and evaluation of School Community Partnerships, direct supervision of staff and delivery of professional development opportunities. Specifically, this position provides operational oversight of specific collaborations in which The Center for Youth delivers school-based services. They are responsible for supervising the staff to ensure that all contract objectives are met. The AD works in conjunction with the Associate Director to act as liaison with the school's administrator and maintains routine contact to assure their satisfaction with services. Maintaining a strong partnership with each school's administrator is essential to understanding the unique characteristics and individual needs of each school community. Additionally, participation in school committees and becoming an integral part of the school community is expected, as appropriate.
Schedule Full time, 35 hours per week. 12 months
Location Southern Tier
Responsibilities
Supervises, guides and evaluates assigned staff
Works closely with Associate Director/Assistant Directors and School Administrators to ensure services are based on identified needs
Assists in outcome measurement and impact data collection
Assists in report writing
Works with Associate Director/Assistant Directors with hiring process and training of new employees
Works closely with community and school partners
Promotes networking and best practice identification among collaborations/programs
Assists in developing performance criteria, supervising and evaluating the performance of school-based program staff
Assists in overseeing and approving the development and implementation of school-based programs and ensure that all programs are consistent with agency mission, policies, procedures and contractual objectives
Ensures the integration of agency services, cross-program coordination and collaboration of service delivery components
Assists in ensuring that the school-based programs data collection and maintenance system meets the needs of the agency: quality services, funders' requirements, program/service evaluation, grantsmanship and management planning
Ensures assigned school sites have adequate coverage and provide direct service as needed
Required Qualifications
Masters Degree in Human Services, Education, Social Work, and 3 years' relevant experience OR Bachelors Degree and 3 year's related experience OR Equivalent combination of experience and education
A valid Driver's license
Skills
Strong communication and literacy skills
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office & Internet Explorer
Pay Rate $30 per hour
Salary: $30 per hour
