We are seeking a visionary and dedicated
Center Director
to lead our team and foster a nurturing, high-quality learning environment. As the heart of our center, you will be responsible for the overall operation, ensuring we provide a safe, educational, and community-focused experience for every child and family we serve.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence:
Oversee daily operations, including enrollment, staffing schedules, and ensuring full compliance with state licensing regulations.
Educational Leadership:
Implement and supervise age-appropriate curricula that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Staff Mentorship:
Recruit, train, and inspire a team of educators; provide ongoing professional development and performance feedback.
Financial Management:
Manage the center’s budget, including tuition collection, payroll, and supply procurement to ensure long-term sustainability.
Community Building:
Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, fostering open communication and a welcoming "family-first" atmosphere.
Qualifications
Education:
Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (required).
Experience:
2+ years of experience in a licensed childcare setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role (preferred).
Certification:
Must meet all Illinois state requirements for Center Directors (e.g., Gateways to Opportunity credentials).
Skills:
Exceptional interpersonal skills, strong organizational abilities, and a deep understanding of DCFS licensing standards.
