What You’ll Do The Lead HVAC Installer is a hands‑on field leader responsible for overseeing residential HVAC installations from start to finish. This role ensures every job is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards while delivering exceptional customer experience.

technical expertise, team leadership, and customer interaction —ideal for a top‑performing installer ready to lead and mentor others.
Leadership & Team Oversight
Lead, train, and mentor installation team members and helpers
Assign tasks and ensure efficient workflow on job sites
Promote a positive, professional, and safety‑first culture
Provide coaching to develop future lead installers
Install residential HVAC systems to manufacturer specifications
Perform start‑ups, testing, and system verification
Fabricate and install ductwork and fittings as needed
Troubleshoot installation issues and make field adjustmentsEnsure jobs are completed on time and within scope
Inspect completed installations for quality and code compliance
Communicate clearly with homeowners about scope of work and system operation
Answer questions and build trust with customers
Maintain accurate job paperwork, materials usage, and installation notes
Keep company vehicle and inventory organized
Coordinate with dispatch, sales, and management teams
Ensure compliance with all local codes and safety regulations
Requirements
3–5+ years HVAC installation experience
Strong leadership or crew‑lead background
Excellent communication and customer service
Advanced troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
High attention to detail and pride in workmanship
EPA 608 certification
Valid driver’s license
Preferred: NATE certification, experience with Trane, Lennox, or similar systems, OSHA training.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50–100 lbs., work in attics/crawlspaces, and handle ladders and tools
Comfortable working on ladders and in tight spaces
Ability to handle tools, equipment, and repetitive physical tasks
