This position operates under the supervision of a Licensed Land Surveyor.
Responsibilities
Field survey work for boundary
Topographic and construction surveys
Research and calculations for boundary surveys
Calculations for construction staking
Desired Skills
Field/office surveying methods, practices, techniques, legalities, and mathematical procedures for surveying.
Elementary principles and practices of surveying for engineering projects, including construction calculations
Understand and interpret legal descriptions and record survey maps
Understanding and interpretation of engineering plans, diagrams, and notes
Work effectively in a team environment
Perform complex mathematical calculations with speed and accuracy
Trimble Business Center, Trimble Access, Survey Pro data collection software, and Trimble survey equipment
Technical understanding of computers and survey equipment
Physical Job Requirements
The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
Acceptable eyesight (with or without correction).
Acceptable hearing (with or without correction).
May involve extended standing, walking, climbing, balancing, and kneeling periods.
It may involve intermittent performance of physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of standing, reaching, bending, kneeling, crouching, running, and climbing. This work regularly consists of lifting, carrying, pushing, and lifting objects fifty (50) lbs. or over.
