Role Description The Interim Director of Music at Hollywood UMC will lead and manage the church’s music ministry, creating a meaningful and engaging worship experience through music. Responsibilities include preparing and providing musical direction for worship services, collaborating with clergy and church staff, coordinating rehearsals, and leading the choir. The Interim Director will also oversee the planning and execution of special music programs, including seasonal and holiday services. This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Los Angeles, CA, requiring strong collaboration with the church community.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Music Theory and Church Music
Experience in Music Education and Music Production
Strong background in music performance and vocal or instrumental leadership
Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
Familiarity with worship traditions and liturgy
Bachelor’s degree in music or a related field (Master’s preferred)
