Reports To: Executive Director
Position Summary The Program Director provides leadership and oversight of all supportive service programs, including case management, counseling, legal advocacy, and safehouse operations. This role ensures trauma-informed, high-quality services aligned with best practices, regulatory requirements, and the organization’s mission to support survivors of domestic violence.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise client services staff, safehouse supervisory staff, interns, and volunteers.
Oversee recruitment, hiring, training, and performance management of program staff.
Ensure effective and compliant operation of counseling, case management, legal advocacy, and 24/7 shelter services.
Lead program development, evaluation, and continuous improvement efforts.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and grant requirements (including DSS).
Prepare and submit required program and grant reports.
Provide budget oversight for program services and assist with grant writing and reporting.
Support crisis intervention and trauma-informed responses in collaboration with leadership.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, agencies, and referral networks.
Represent the organization at meetings, trainings, and community events.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in Social Work, Counseling, or related field.
Current licensure in Social Work or Counseling preferred.
Minimum 5 years of management or supervisory experience, preferably in a domestic violence services setting.
Strong knowledge of domestic violence dynamics and trauma-informed care.
Experience with grant management and reporting.
Excellent communication, leadership, and collaboration skills.
Experience overseeing a 24/7 safehouse preferred.
