Job Summary WCSC is seeking a strong reporter eager to transition into anchoring. The role will anchor weekend evening newscasts and MMJ daily, leading the evening team and driving the station’s presence across all platforms. The successful candidate will bring hard‑news experience, beat‑reporting skills, and a proven ability to work independently on live broadcasts.

Responsibilities

Anchor newscasts as assigned

Live report for multiple newscasts daily

Shoot, write, edit, and run one’s own live news segments

Qualifications

At least two years’ experience as an MMJ for a broadcast news station or news website

Bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism or a related field

Self‑starter with knowledge of state‑of‑the‑art television news equipment, website publishing, and social media
