Job Duties The primary purpose of the position is to serve as an extension of the Assistant AD for Ticket Operations/Pirate Club Operations for management of all planning, operations and fiscal management of the athletic ticket office. This position performs its duties consistent with the goals and values of the department, division, and university and ensures compliance with NCAA, conference, university and governmental policies, procedures, regulations and guidelines applicable to the athletics ticket office operation. The director will function in a number of leadership roles including fiscal management, customer service, game‑day operations, sport‑specific ticketing operations, and managing of back‑office ticketing software and technology. Supervises student and temporary employees. This position must be able to think independently to interpret and communicate guidelines, policies, etc. to recognize, define and resolve standard and non‑standard problems applying operating procedures, practices and established precedents. Resolve recurring issues and problems as well as unique situations. Additionally, this position will be expected to understand and apply a variety of features in software programs, databases, information systems in the performance of their duties. This position functions with independent interaction to build quality relationships and work collaboratively and professionally with athletics, Pirate Club, university staff, students, and all constituencies and stakeholders on all levels, including face‑to‑face, phone, and electronic communications. Night and weekends work is expected in the performance of duties.
Minimum Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or related business area; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education Master’s Degree and 3 years of experience in collegiate or professional athletics ticket operations or equivalent related experience preferred.
