Position Summary
Builds strategic partnerships with assigned producers and customers to achieve profitable growth and cross‑sell objectives for assigned business, product lines and geographies.
Has a strong understanding of customer needs and expectations across multiple market segments.
Produces moderate influence on the sale and retention of business.
Fundamental Components
Oversees targeted prospects to develop new opportunities and cross‑sell business, ensuring profitable customers and business growth through consultative consulting, issue resolution, and superior service.
Manages and builds producer relationships as needed depending on the book of business or market segment(s) being supported.
Identifies partnership opportunities with clients, drawing from the entire spectrum of Aetna product lines and illustrating benefits tailored to each client’s needs.
Develops, executes, and communicates company objectives aligned with the prospect’s objectives, financial position, and employee benefits strategy.
Coordinates sales materials, testimonials, and subject‑matter experts to create compelling presentations for clients.
Delivers polished presentations of solutions, linking benefits to constituents’ needs.
Collaborates with underwriting to prepare competitive quotes for targeted prospects.
Creates open‑enrollment plans with producers and plan sponsors to maximize enrollment.
Monitors industry information and the competitive environment to position Aetna’s strengths.
Ensures product, pricing, and services meet client needs while achieving Aetna revenue growth and profit objectives.
Co‑ordinates cross‑functional integration of client and Aetna internal organizations and partners to complete sales, installation, and servicing.
Required Qualifications
3‑5 years of relevant industry experience.
Persuasive presentation skills that demonstrate value and drive client purchase decisions.
Deep understanding of business financials, products, and services.
Appropriate State Health Insurance license.
Ability to travel within assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Small Group or Select Medical Insurance business.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience a plus.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
Compensation and Work Hours Anticipated Weekly Hours : 40
Time Type : Full time
Pay Range : The typical pay range for this role is $46,988.00 – $91,014.00. This represents the base annual salary for the position. Final offer will depend on experience, education, geography and other factors.
