Construction Estimator

Siteworks LLC is currently hiring for the position of construction estimator. The ideal candidate for this job would be someone with a background in heavy civil construction (i.e. grading, site utilities, site concrete, asphalt paving), primarily with an emphasis on preconstruction responsibilities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following
Studying documentation, meeting with clients and inspecting the construction site to fully understand what work is required.
Develops bids for construction projects. Including solicitation of key vendors and subcontractors.
Following up on bids with clients and closing deals to contract.
Works closely with general contractors, land developers, civil engineers, and other professionals.
Navigates and understands land development codes for government agencies throughout the region.
Qualifications & Requirements
The ideal candidate would have a bachelor’s degree in a civil engineering field and/or construction management, but it is not a requirement.
5+ Years experience in the construction field preferred.
Strong math skills including geometry, and basic arithmetic.
Software skills in MS Excel, Bluebeam, Agtek, and MS Project are encouraged, but not mandatory.
Ability to navigate specifications and plans.
Proficiency in demonstrating proposals and projects.
Ability to handle multiple assignments at once.
Close attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This is an immediate opening with the potential to start right away. This employee would be required to work in a local office environment. Primary area of work includes the greater Charlotte metropolitan area (+/- 60 mile radius).
