Under the supervision of the Community Resource Manager or Associate Warden-Operations, the Native American Spiritual Leader will function as the principle provider of Spiritual and Moral Guidance to incarcerated people confined within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation; to conduct Native American Religious Services for Routine and Special Religious Ceremonies; provide Counseling; Direct incarcerated people with native American Traditions; Provide Resources to the institution and community in general; Supervision of the incarcerated workers, Gather and purchase supplies and Native American Medicines for Religious needs; Submit Quarterly reports, and other related duties as required. Supervise incarcerated workers, in accordance with departmental guidelines, policies and procedures.

Working Conditions California Correctional Institution is located in the Tehachapi Mountains approximately 325 miles south of Sacramento and approximately 120 miles north of Los Angeles.
CCI is a Multi-level, Sensitive Needs Yard, facility consisting of three (3) facilities, encompassed within a campus style layout with varied terrain. Work in this location may require exposure to varied temperatures dependent upon the season.
