ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, ATHLETICS TICKET OPERATIONS

Overview

Basic Function Assist with managing the operational and financial functions of the Athletics Ticket Office, including coordinating daily ticketing operations, monitoring ticket revenue and expenses, processing financial reports, and ensuring efficient customer service and ticket sales for athletic events. Responsibilities

Ensure the financial operations of the Athletics Ticket Office are maintained accurately and efficiently, including reconciling daily transactions, processing financial reports, tracking ticket revenue, and monitoring departmental budgets and expenses to ensure compliance with university financial procedures. Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Ticket Office by supporting management in coordinating ticketing functions, supervising staff when needed, and helping implement operational procedures that improve efficiency and service. Sell tickets and ticket-related products for designated athletic events and sports, including season tickets, single-game tickets, group packages, and promotional offers through in-person, phone, and online platforms. Provide high-quality customer service by assisting patrons with ticket purchases, account management, and event inquiries; resolve customer concerns professionally and escalate complex issues to supervisors when appropriate. Maintain a thorough understanding of and adhere to all University of Wyoming, NCAA, and conference policies and procedures related to ticketing operations; support the administration of ticketing policies, compliance standards, and best practices to ensure consistent and ethical operations. Support reporting and record-keeping processes related to ticket sales, financial reconciliation, and attendance data to assist leadership with operational decision-making and event planning. Collaborate with athletics staff, marketing teams, and event operations personnel to support ticket promotions, special events, and game-day ticket operations. Competencies

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience EXPERIENCE: 1-2 years collegiate, professional or entertainment ticket & box office experience LICENSURES, CERTIFICATIONS, REGISTRATIONS, OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Valid Driver’s License Knowledge and Abilities Specific to the Job

Knowledge of athletic ticketing operations, ticketing systems, and customer service practices within a collegiate athletics environment. Knowledge of financial reconciliation, reporting processes, and standard cash-handling procedures. Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Ability to analyze financial and ticket sales data, maintain accurate records, and monitor ticket revenue and expenses. Ability to work collaboratively with athletics staff, campus partners, and event personnel while maintaining professionalism with customers. Ability to interpret and follow University, NCAA, and conference policies and procedures related to ticket operations. Ability to resolve customer concerns effectively and maintain confidentiality when handling financial and patron information. Travel Requirements
