Job Description
Job responsibilities & Duties: Lead team of Analysts who research and document statutes and ordinances imposing sales, use and other special taxes. Lead team who monitors statutes, legislative activity and tax publications to stay abreast of changes in laws. Responsible for working directly with customers and helping resolve complex tax issues. Provide analysis and make recommendations on complicated tax issues amongst diverse industries and communicate them in an understandable manner to non-tax professionals. Perform complex customer-specific special projects as assigned by management. Provide guidance to other departments and clients regarding tax processes and rules. Manage documentation of rates and product taxability held in systems/applications. Qualifications
Job and work experience requirements: Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in tax, accounting, business administration, finance, or law. 2+ years of experience (preferably with the Big 4) in the tax or accounting industry. Must have knowledge of multi-state sales/use tax laws and requirements. Ability to utilize online research tools (e.g. Checkpoint, Lexis-Nexis). Ability to quickly identify customer specific tax requirements and prepare solutions. Superior ability to research indirect tax changes and sourcing changes. Superior communication skills and ability to handle multiple tasks. Ability to consistently meet rigid and recurring deadlines. Additional Information
