Employee Relations Manager

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for managing and mitigating employee relations, background checks, workers compensation, teacher contracts, safety and other areas related to Human Resources. This includes counseling employees and directing employers in areas of best hiring practices, compensation, performance management and policy interpretation, employee relations and terminations. Ensures our parishes and schools create a fair, equitable and safe environment for our employees and visitors. This position is also responsible for the workers compensation relationship and coverage for diocesan employers.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED “Embrace the mission and vision of the Catholic Diocese of Green Bay and work in accordance with Catholic Teachings and the moral and ethical values of the Catholic Church.”

Bachelor’s degree in business administration with Human Resources emphasis or related field required.

Must have five years of experience in Human Resources with significant focus and responsibility for employee relations.

Knowledge of related state and federal employment law required.

Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

Experience in a parish or diocesan business office is a plus.

A valid driver’s license is required.

Competent in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Written and verbal communication.
