Job Description The

Operational Program Director (OPD)

will lead and coordinate our overall programs that serve persons with ID, DD, mental health diagnoses, medical needs, and individuals on the autism spectrum. The role combines direct care with supervisory duties.

Hours Typical business hours: Monday‑Friday, 8 a.m.‑5 p.m. As an OPD, you will be on call from 8 a.m. Monday to 5 p.m. Friday to support staff and coordinators within four to five programs. The position involves onsite work within the programs.

Additionally, you will be on call for about 15‑30 sites during evenings and overnight periods (Friday 5 p.m. – Monday 8 a.m.), roughly every 3‑6 weeks. This schedule includes shared holiday coverage.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting Salary: $65,000.00 – $66,787.50 annually (based on experience level and qualifications)

Note:

Current employees of Dungarvin are not eligible for the sign‑on bonus associated with this position.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or a related field (preferred). Candidates must hold a Designated Manager status per MN 245D licensing requirements.

Three years’ experience supervising staff in the human service field, meeting 245D Designated Manager qualifications.

Valid United States Driver’s License with acceptable motor vehicle background check per Dungarvin policy.

Valid liability vehicle insurance and reliable transportation.

Ability to complete personal cares and lift and transfer clients.

Ability to transport persons served in the community.

Strong decision‑making, time‑management, and communication skills; responsible and flexible.

Minimum age 18 years; some programs require at least 21 years per MN requirements for children foster‑care licensed programs.
